Its awkward funny to talk about my own weight concerns in the presence of a doctor who is obese. IIN?
How do you say that you find a 5 lb difference to be a concern? LOL!
Well he isnt tell you about your weight so I feel ImjustJeff gave rude advice.
I dont think 5lbs is a concern you even need to talk to him about. its a small amout of weight to loose that just a week of watching what you eat and out of that week exercise maybe 4 days...should solve?
seems like you can take care of such a small concern on your own.
Even tho he is fat it doesnt meen he doesnt know what he is talking about. He just isnt following his own advice...or maybe he has a health problem that makes him gain weight
I certainly didn't mean to sound rude. What I thought the OP meant is that the doctor is concerned with (presumably her) losing 5 pounds, when that seems like a hypocritical comment coming from someone that is obese.
A doctor, of all people, should know what to do to lose weight, even (and especially) if it is a 'health problem'.
Diet, exercise, and will power. I know, I've lost nearly 40 pounds.
No she mentioned telling the doctor about her concern...the doctor didnt tell her.
A doctor does know...what i am saying is you dont know if its because he eats too much and doesnt practice what he preaches.
Or
if he has an underlining problem with his own health that causes him to gain weight or if he is on some medication himself that causes weight gain. You just dont know
I felt the same way back in '09 when the doctor at the hospital told me I was overweight. He was fatter than me, yet he was trying to tell me how to lose weight. I recall seeing him smoke outside the building too.
I agree. That is like trusting a bald hair stylist, or an anorexic chef.
Tell them you'll lose 5lbs after they lose 30 and watch their jaw drop.
