Itchy butt!

When I go to the restroom, you know number two, I try really hard to make sure I'm all clean. Sometimes, when it's possible, I use baby wipes to get myself clean. But no matter how clean I get myself, I still sometimes I get itchy back there, particularly when I'm working and getting all sweaty. It's awful, then I have to go back to the bathroom and re-clean myself.

It's never enough to make my underwear dirty or anything like that, it's just a little bit. I don't know what's going on. Is this normal? If you have any advice, please comment!

You may have a case of 'monkey butt" -- A chafe between the upper thighs and asscrack brought about by sweaty activities such as walking back and forth or working out of doors. Produces a Baboon-like rash on the buttocks.

Happens to truck drivers, motorcycle riders, outdoor workers.

Give Gold Bond powder a try. Works for me.

It's impossible to say this without sounding disgusting, even though it's purely natural. Very much like the vagina produces lubricant to ease sex, so does the rectal wall produce mucus to "ease the passage". I don't know what process stimulates it but it's possible that you can be entirely clean but still suffer seepage.

I guess you could always wear a tampon but I can't see it being all that comfortable. Probably easiest to just put up with it.

  • I don't think it's an allergy, when I go back again to wipe there is something there even though I made sure I was all clean the first time.

It could be the ingredients in the baby wipes.

Some baby wipes contain alcohol which can dry the skin causing the itchiness. I had that problem & that's what the Dr. told me.

You might be sensitive to fragrance in your fabric softener or laundry detergent. If you haven't already, switch to an unscented detergent. If that doesn't work, switch brands of baby wipes, because they might be irritating you, particularly if they're scented.
