It started as a joke but now it's a core belief?

TL;DR- I made up a conspiracy theory about how pressing certain microwave buttons impacts the longevity of said microwave. I now believe my own made up conspiracy and have strict rules about pushing microwave buttons.

    • That's the thing. I'm not, I swear! It just happened. I made it up to be funny in front of friends and I had to keep up the act by pressing the buttons as prescribed by my theory. I have been doing it for so long now that it actually bothers me to use the microwave outside of the "rules".
