It's you...but you in a different time (iin)

Is it normal to look at the people in my life and wonder what they would have been in different time periods?

For example, if I know someone with a terrible temper problem would he have been a peasant in the Middle Ages that got his head chopped off by a knight?

Or if you knew someone in this time who was incredibly stupid, to wonder what they would have been if they had lived in ancient Egypt? How much of who we are is informed by the most native parts of our character, and how much is informed by the times and mentalities that we're exposed to?

Is this normal?

I would have been a healer. And some would have burned me for it while others would have made me Queen.

I've been known to do that myself. It shows you're intelligent that you think about things like that (probably).

Sometimes I think about how different I would be if I had different parents. Not a completely different upbringing, but say, just one of my parents were different. How different would I be? What about if I was born in France with french parents, would I have a more french personality? Or what if my life was played out up to this age again, with all significant factors remaining the same (parents, where I live, etc.) how different would I be? I think you get the idea.

Sociology, innit? I like it. I think because few people think about it day to day. I read a book by a sociologist called "Everything is Obvious..." (name of the book, not sociologist). Thought it was great. But that's another story.

I saw an old painting in the Louvre that looks exactly like my dad did in the 70s.

You should not insult someone else's religion without provocation, that is not nice.
