I have a lot of friends raised by sociopaths and narcissists who were neglected and abused as kids and grew up to have mental issues specially addiction then are condemned or kicked out by the same people that caused them to be that way.. like dafuq?
Yes, this is the sad truth. Oftentimes our families make us the way we are, and then then get mad at us for being messed up. My mother is a regular gaslighting queen. 🙁
Yeah. A lot of people I went to high school with had parents that would scream at them and beat them if they didn't get perfect grades. Some of these people now either have anxiety, depression, are in/out of jail, in a gang, or are in financial strain. Some of the parents were all "wahh I tried my best" or "I was a good parent" or "Why did this happen?". They're full of shit. They can keep surrounding themselves by Yesmen that will tell them they did nothing wrong, but they know what they did and if they had been more responsible and less abusive, perhaps things would've turned out different.
