There's a guy I have feelings for, the first time we talked I just knew he was the one but distance is keeping us apart. Most nights like tonight I find myself viewing and zooming his pictures at like 2 or 3am and my heart just breaks because we can't be together. Every waking moment is filled with thoughts of him and how perfect he is. I want to marry him and have his babies and cook for him and go on trips with him. is it normal to be this obsessed with someone

    It's the "Daisy Effect"! Ever read the Great Gatsby? Well if you haven't then I'll explain what I mean by the daisy effect. Basically it means that you find a person whom you find to be your ideal mate but for some reason or another you can't be together and you hardly ever see them. The more you think about them tho you realize how completely perfect they are for you and how much you want to be with them. You become infatuated with them without really getting to know them. And finally when you do get to know them you can see any of thier flaws because you already built up and unrealistic image of them in your head. Just like gatsby did! and let me tell you it's unhealthy so I know it's gonna be hard but at least try to find someone more attainable to be with For now.

    Why settle for someone you might never meet though? I'm sure there could be someone for you that lives in your city/town?

    I understand that internet and texting make it easier to develop a solid bond with somebody's real self.. but in the end, words on a screen will be all you have.
