It it normal that my labia gets itchy?

So, the first I heard of a yeast infection was when I was 15, when I had one. Ever since the, I haven't really had any treatment, and I am 20 years old now, and every 6 months or so, My vaginal walls, and one side of my labia, will get itchy to the point, where when I scratch, it starts to burn, and the labia also enlarges to this ball-like shape while the other is normal size.

My discharge is yellowish, has been for a while now, and has this foul odor. I know I should have seen a doctor by now, but I've literally been that busy I haven't been able to. I am hoping to set up one soon.

But my question is, is irreversible because I waited so long? Is going to the OBGYN pointless?

it is def not pointless. although most standard yeast infections should kinda even themselves out. i get them randomly from time to time and even though i don't have time to go to the doc either they sometimes go away in just a couple of days or some over the counter stuff like monistat knocks it right out. if you don't have time to go to the doc then you def need to pick up something over the counter, or have someone pick it up for you if possible? either way, sometimes it takes forever to get an appt with an obgyn and my sis gets prescription yeast infection meds from her family doc so start taking care of yourself, that sounds massively uncomfortable.

No it's not pointless. You really need to go see a doctor because letting infections go for a long time can cause damage to your organs and whatnot. There still might be meds to help fix it all.
