It is normal to get turned on by birth?

So ever since I was little, I saw videos of women giving birth. When I got a little older, I noticed my vagina always tingled when I would see a birth scene in a movie/TV show. I am now old enough to know that this is a fetish. I don't get turned on by the baby, but rather the mother's moans and positions. Is that normal?

The woman is lying with her thighs spread wide and making sounds that could be indicating pleasure or pain. It's understandable why you find this image sexual.

As a woman, you need to know that your sensations of physical arousal will not always match up with what's going on in your head. Women can be physically aroused even if they don't want to have sex. It's called "noncondordance". Check out a book titled "Come as You Are" by Emily Nagoski if you want to better understand female sexuality.

Basically, you might experience sensations of physical sexual arousal in any situation where the instinctive part of your brain says, "Right, this is a sexual situation. We better get ready for something to happen."

By the way, a few women (less than 10%) do experience orgasm during childbirth - that's a purely a physiological thing. They don't find the experience sexy, it's just that the passage of the baby through the vagina is stimulating the legs of the clitoris that surround the vaginal opening.
