It doesn't bother me if some anime character is ancient but youthful

I often encounter these weirdos who seemingly think that all ancient aged characters that look like children are some "fanservice" for pedophiles, and to be honest, I find these types of people to be quite stupid for the most part.

First of all, they generalize all those characters.
They think that those characters are hentai characters, when most of the time, such characters (ancient aged characters that look like children) are from non-hentai anime series. More precisely said, non-hentai fantasy genre anime series.

Second of all, the reason why these people are demonizing these characters is because of how young they look, and I bet they don't even understand mythology either.
Cupid is a Roman god. Gods and goddesses are like much older than the civilization of the planet we are incarnate in, and look at Cupid: he's always depicted as a child. A child.
And yes, the Cupid is supposed to be an adult, actually.
Of course, the life span and aging of gods and goddesses can be more different than the life span of people in the physical plane, but even then I always thought that Cupid is indeed an adult god. In god years too and not just in human years.

Also, there are many adults who look like children, and yes, I'm talking about healthy adults and not the ones with Syndrome X or any other health condition that stops them from growing into adults. I look like a child as well, although I'm 25, and female. And my age is often questioned because of how young I look.

I understand that ages like over 1000 years old are not possible for us the humans, so it's somehow funny that there are many young looking anime characters that are like over 1000 years old or something, but I never thought that such characters are made as fanservice for pedophiles.

I also never thought that young looking over 18+ year old anime characters with realistic or human ages are fanservice for pedophiles either.

Only lolicon and shotacon (hentai featuring underage characters) are pedophilic, and I find it horrible that lolicon and shotacon are still legal in Japan, and even in many other countries.
But over 18+ year old characters that look very young for their age, be they 18 year olds or 100 or even over 1000? Come on...
People really need to leave those ones alone and let the innocent anime artists design their characters however they want.
