Bill collectors are pushy bastards who make demands and threaten repercussions if their demands aren't met.
Well, this is what I say when they start making threats:
"Sorry pal, I don't negotiate with terrorists."

Well terrorists do what they do usually due to a belief. Bill collectors do what they do because you didn't pay your bills, ie a legitimate reason.
Bill collectors are scum bags. They try to manipulate single mothers to give them the money that should have gone to buying food for their kids.
I know of a single mom who had their toddler son answer the phone and it was a Bill collector. They told him to tell mommy when she gets out of the shower that they are going to come take away all your son's toys because you didn't pay your credit card bill.
I know of another guy who they told his wife why are you staying married to this man who doesn't pay his bills.
They are more dishonest than drug dealers.
I had one call me and she was obviously eating while on the phone with me for one thing, and I told her I didn't have the cash and she made some snarly remark like "oh well that's why they made your credit limit so low then I guess because you're a broke fool". I said, who's the fool now bitch? I'm not paying you SHIT.
They ARE scum and they will lie and do all kinds of dirty things so I do it back to them even worse. They're the ones who want something from me so I'll be damned if they're going to treat me like an asshole.
Bill collectors do what they do due to a belief, too. The belief that you didn't pay your bills :P
I agree. If you made the debt you have to pay it. "money could be spent to buy food for kids" is just an appeal to emotion.
We actually had a guy at work arrested for "threats of terrorism." Apparently terrorism is just threatening someone, making them feel they are in physical danger.

BTW there are legal investigations going on because, while people do owe money, the collectors can't legally threaten people.
There's no clear, concise definition of terrorism, but it can definitely come in many forms. Violence isn't required. It's generally summed up as making any kind of threat. The threat can be empty. It can be purely psychological. It can be violent too.
Most people think terrorism means violent extremists killing people and that's not the case in MOST terrorism that's done. Parents use terrorism on their children! "Behave or Santa won't come", for instance.
If they r bothering u, keep a log book by the phone and log each time they called what they said and talk to a lawyer who does civil litigation. In many cases u can sue them! Most countries have laws banning them from doing a lot of things; usually they violate them!
Dave Ramsey's videos have a pretty good lecture about this very matter. Bill collectors are often very vile and hateful; they are trained to be this way even. You have to be smarter than they are though.
A few things about the lesson that I remember is to know your state's/countries laws about when they can and can NOT legally call you on YOUR TIME ZONE, not theirs. I think there is also limitations on how many times that they are allowed to legally call you in a certain time period as well. Demand that they follow these laws and if they don't, record the conversations/phone calls somehow and you can SUE them for breaking the law. You can tell them that you won't tolerate being yelled at and hang up on them if they start violating your rules too.
Know that they can NOT force you to pay them money, even though you should be paying them SOMETHING because you DO owe the company they work for, but it's not right for you and your family to suffer and go hungry because of them either. There are ways to get out of it. Something about a ratified budget form? Also, you have to be able to negotiate.
There's so much more to this, and I highly recommend looking up Dave Ramsey's teachings on this if you or someone you know is struggling with bill collectors and debt.
Here's a great one: Tell them last time when u called, I ran to the phone to answer the phone and slipped and fell... that was a week ago. I just got off the phone with the business office at the hospital. They said the Bill came to $5164.72. How are we going to take care of this today? I can take a check over the phone or a credit card?

Everytimee someone calls my house telemarketing my mom yells at them. It's pretty funny actually. It's normal!
I also saw some man on you tube who got called by those fags looking for the personwho had the same phone number before he was assigned it by the phone co. He told them "oh I am going to pay you but I dot have a pen to write the check. could you.please mail me a pen and I will write you a check and mail you the check and pen back."
