Is tor safe

Is it really safe to use tor with a VPN on andriod? I dont download anything and I am not there for degeneracy but I am interested in certain topics and I worry about what I search for on google with all these NSA data being recorded. I dont wanna get flagged by some idiot FED and get spied on.

With how tracking works on the deep web to be caught you would have to be either very unsafe with tor. Or be doing something EXTREMELY illegal. Now the dark web is mostly for illegal stuff, so as long as you dont lay a breadcrumb trail right to yourself you are fine.

Tor is based on Firefox. As long as you do not expand the size of the screen no one can read your IP location or information about your personal computer.

Use only the Tor search engine if you wish to remain private and secure.

It is extremely safe; but not perfect. The Intelligence Agencies have been able to identify a "source" for classified information by correlating the network chain of about 100 sequential uses by one person to identify which internet service local network was the originator. Then they got a search warrant and tapped that local network to identify the person.

    • When you say do not expand the size of your screen what does that mean?

You obviously have not used Tor if you are asking that.

        • I get the feeling you will respond telling me I am stupid but I have used it a lot actually. My first time using it was over 10 years ago. And I have no idea what you mean by "expand your screen".

And even if I had not ever used it that is why I am asking advice on this website...

Tor loads on a computer using only part of your screen. The site you are connected to can read the size of your browser window. If you expand the browser screen to full size, the site you are connected to most likely can identify the model of the computer you have due to variations in computer screen sizes.

Tor actually initially gives you a warning about this at least on your fist time you try expanding the Tor Browser window screen.

If you're going to be using TOR, why in the world would you use Google? I don't use Google, and I don't even use TOR. There is a TOR search engine. And if you really don't want to use that, at least switch to SearX.
