Is this site an experiment? is it normal for me to think so?

Like a social experiment? Or a pet research experiment? Is it here to pool gloriously useless information from us humans? It surely beats doing real life surveys. Hmmmm? I never read the is it normal about page, if one is here. I have done social experiments sooooo... Is this normal to think?

BTW, this site is way fun. :-) Its my procrastination. Happy find whatever the site creator was thinking?

    It was an experiment

It started when a scientist went to an island and built a facility with a societal "vacuum" glass chamber. Just how objects in a vacuum in physics are not hindered by atmospheric pressure, similarly this vacuum was made so that thoughts were independent of societal pressure. The scientist then made it open to the world. It was an opportuniry to lure countless number of potential test subjects in an effort to facilitate and amateurly observe uninhibited thought. It worked out well at first, and hundreds of specimen entered and interacted.

Alas, this scientist did not anticipate entropy. Over time some subjects started tampering with the glass champer and vandalizing the facility, some broke into the control center, and some even started creating artificial thought for various reasons. The scientist hauled his ass off the island, not only cause he was overwhelmed but because he had bigger facilities on bigger islands to tend to. Impressively enough, the facility became self-sufficient and still was a medium for allowing uninhibited thought. One by one the subjects started leaving, not necessarily because of the facility, but because they had other callings too.

What remains now is the facility, still functioning. However, the vacuum has proved to be the perfect habitat for a unique species of pests, which is fascinating because every natural system has pests. You may also find minor groupism within the test subjects, as they try to mark territories and prove themselves in various ways, as is the case in any organic environment.

I would tell you more, but the fire that you've been roasting under this entire time is about to run out. What's that you ask? Are my pet fox and I going to eat you now? *the fox grins while drooling* HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA. Nah, we were just cooking you cause it gets cold here at night and we like having someone warm to snuggle with. Now quickly untangle yourself and come with us. It's about to rain down in here.

Feeekkkk, what did I just read?

You're in on it, no? Was that fiction or not? No idea.

Bravo! I applaud that kind of vivid creativity.

It's not fiction. Everything alludes to a subtle truth. Stay a while longer and it will make more sense :-)

Yes, I saw it was 'an experiment' as well, and also wondered. We are all the test subjects, but for who, and what are they trying to figure out?

Considering it's been here since 2004, have they found what they were looking for yet?

I found IIN on accident a couple weeks ago, and I've been here every day since. I'm hoping once I have the nerve to start posting more, that (in between the lines) I may actually get some decent advice. There is a small amount of people I see here that do answer sincerely.....

Even if it was an experiment, they are not going to get that much useful information.
It's mostly "I want to fuck X-family member", or "IIN I like masturbating"
Not benefiting the human race much, by knowing lots of people are horny and messed up...

It's the same data that Google collects. But, we have to be sooo worried about everyday people's privacy, right?

I've seen those posts. I'm not all that surprised.

How come no ads? How come no begging like Wikipedia? That's a long time to be up. I shall promote it, yes.
