Is this ocd?

hmmm well when i text people with things that end with y, !, and/or ? i always have to put three of them.
And sometimes when i say random things i will have to say them 3 or 9 times.
and like when im pressing the button at stop light to cross the street i will have to press it 3 or 9 times. Like if I go over 3 times, i have to go to 9.
three and nine seems, well kinda of even to me.
And another example. if im hitting a cigarette, i will hit it three times in a row.

And also, i always have to bring my comb with me. and if im in public my hair must be combed really well or i feel ditry or something.

So tell me, is there something wrong with me, is this normal, or am i just weird?

OCD is not just doing random shit for the fuck of it. OCD is having obsessive thoughts or fears that won't go away unless you act on a compulsion. OCD has often been compared to a broken record because people with the disorder are stuck on certain thoughts that play in their head over and over again until they act on a compulsion to distract themselves or feel safe or relieved.

It's not the compulsions that signalize the OCD, it's the thought process. In fact you can have what is called Pure O, which is only having obsessive thoughts but not acting out on compulsions. It's different from Generalized Anxiety because instead of worrying about different random things constantly (many people with GAD say they worry about everything), it's having specific worries and fears (like fears that everyone in your family is going to die) that get stuck like a broken record that you can't control.

Why are you doing these things? Do you have overwhelming thoughts of anxiety that lead you to do these things? Do you feel like something bad will happen, or do you feel weird, strange, scared or overwhelmed if you DON'T do them? Does it cause you serious distress to not perform these actions? If so, it's OCD. If not, you're just quirky. Go to a doctor if you're that concerned. IIN can't diagnose you especially because many other disorders feature compulsive rituals (like aspergers syndrome, for example). Don't let IIN diagnose you. OCD isn't that simple.

Yes. OCD is made up of OBSESSIONS and COMPULSIONS - both of which you seem to have by the way you have described yourself. They may not seem/feel normal but at least they are harmless ...

Yeah, a very mild form of OCD. It doesn't sound like it's anything to be particularly worried about. Many people have mild forms if OCD and live quite normally.

Yeah, sounds like OCD. But it's fairly common, and as long as it doesn't interfere with daily life/relationships/whatever, I wouldn't worry too too much about it.
