Is this normal to feel the emotions of other people?

Is it normal that when I look into someones eye's I can feel what they are feeling?
It's like I know how they are truely feeling inside.
Is it normal? Or is there something wrong with me?

I am the same way. It is a little freaky. But also cool because some people really appreciate the empathy. I got picked on a lot as a little kid and hate when people are sad or left out. I think that this gift comes with a lot of experience. We've been through so much that we relate to a lot of people. I feel like I see so much more then what other people see. It's almost as if time is frozen and I am the only one who is concious of it. I can also tell who people really are way before others can. Can you do this too?

it's normal but not common. you will run into someone else like that one day and you can help each other to understand, probably without even speaking. some people call it being empathic. are you strongly affected by the emotions of others, or just aware of them? is it knowing or actually experiencing? it will probably vary in intensity depending on your feelings for the person you are around. people have gifts and you will learn more about yours.

Its not normal or common..im a master at it.very few have this ability.i cant help but always feel what they feel.and most the time i ask based on what i feel from them.im usually answered thats how i know im almost always right but alot of the time women will say nothing and run away but i know better.some it scares that you can tell.others will be open and honest.its all in the eyes and facial expressions and the way they walk and just everything.years of practice youll become great at it.but never ever %100.maybe %75

Yes, it's called empathy. Humans are primates, and primates are social animals. "Feeling someone else's pain" allows you to develop bonds with other people and help them when they need it. Be glad you're not a person who doesn't have empathy.

  • I looked into my friends eyes once and I was immediately overtaken with sadness and I began to cry for no real reason

  • Sounds like an extreme form of empathy. They say that the eyes are the window into the soul. I think it's good that you have this gift and maybe you should try using it to make an emotional connection with people. I think everyone wants a friend who has this ability.
