Is this normal to feel like this?

I have been on antidepressants (setraline 100mg daily)for about a month and a half and I feel just neutral in regards to my moods.I also havent cried in a very long time which isnt like me .I guess I should be happy but I feel like its weird.I also feel like im not really myself and that this drug is messing me up but the sadness for no reason is gone now so It has helped get me through that part.Does anyone take this medication and what are yere side effects and feelings?

Those drugs are shit they are designed to make you have no feelings.

I didn't look it up but if its a SSRI then what you described is a pretty normal reaction. I prefer Xanax and whiskey as needed.

It's normal because it's a reaction to the drug. However, if you want to get better, you need to see a counselor regularly, weekly at first then bi-monthly, then monthly. I'm assuming because it's such a low dose, you were recently prescribed.

The drugs are 10% of the cure, counseling is 30%, that last 60% is you trying new things and surrounding yourself with the stuff you and only you truly enjoy no matter how embarrassing anyone made you feel about liking that stuff.

Be honest with your counselor and yourself and although it won't work instantly, it'll put you on the correct path with the correct obstacles.

I take antidepressants as well. Not the same kind as you, but I can relate to your problem. If its an option, i'd say go try a new medication until you find one that doesnt make you feel like this. Thats what I did. I take Prozac now and I dont feel anything, and it stopped my depression. If you have no antidepressant alternatives, either quit the medecine completely if these feelings are too much of a problem, or just live with it and hope it goes away. It just depends on what you would rather feel, depression or neutral wierdness?
