Suppose you whirl around in your chair and you see a dark shadow. OOOH! I KNOW! Frightening thought!
The question is: Then what? What are you afraid that it could do to you?
Consider this: Ghosts may be like people. They may be good, bad, or a combination of both. The idea, though, of it being a ghost seems to make it a bad thing (because of the fear), keep the idea that, if there is a ghost, it is likely not out to harm you. Lots of times, they need your help or attention for something.
I'm kinda the same way, but instead of looking to see if there is something, I just think I see something without really looking for it.
Sometimes it's just my cat who makes sounds, and when I don't know it's him, and it's dark, I'm all alone, and then something moves, I almost jump out of my chair and yell shit like: "HOLY MOLY, GUACAMOLE!!"
The weird thing is though, I'm never scared when I see a scary movie :P
I do that too. I'm scared there'll be a ghost just watching me or an actual person that'll hurt me.
When i was a kid i thought that everytime i picked and flicked a booger i would be making the boogie man stronger bigger scarier and faster
i do that every once in a while, especially when its really late or im home alone.
i try not to do it too often though because a few years ago i would do it so much it almost became like an ocd thing... if i didnt do it every hour i would worry there would be something there.
yea! i do that too!
or when i enter a room and i turn the light on, i look around if someone is not hiding..
I dont think it's normal at all, we have a little paranoia, but is np:p
