Is this normal did anyone go to the doctor?

I am a 73 year old women and I just started these shaking and shivers about 3 years ago they are scary. I had 5 blankets the other night. I also cover my head with a hand towel which helps to get warm. That is where you lose all your heat. Mine come about once every other month. I just dont know what is happening I am very thin and dont eat right. The doctor just did a bunch of test and didnt say anything was the matter with me. I am going to check this aout farther. I am sick of it . I only sleep about 4 to 5 hours a night anyway. I also wiped out the next day and have to sleep and rest the whole day. If someone has the answere please let me know.

    Get a second opinion.

What you are experiencing can be for any number of reasons, whether they be circulatory, muscular or neurological or hell, a combination of all of the above and more.

You really need to see another doctor, because, aside from the obvious fact that you are getting older, there should be an explanation for this and you need to know it so you can take the appropriate action.
