Is this love?

I would really give my life for this girl.

I would do anything to see her happy, because to see her smile is like a drug to me.

I want to be in a relationship with her. We don't even need to have sex. I could care less about that. I just want to be by her side so I can see her smile every moment of my life. And I want to protect her.

Is this what love is like?

    Dude that is totally love. It sucks to be in love though. Whatever you do don't act on it. It will just screw your life up. At least it did mine

    It is most assuredly NOT love! Likely as not, you are 1) infatuated, caught up in the emotional aspect of a couple's connection, and 2) quite likely in love with the idea of being in love.

    Love is not just an emotional (brought about by chemical) response. It is a mind, body spirit condition. If it is body alone, it is lust. Absent spiritual and intellectual connections, one never truly experiences love.

    I hear and see the phrase "it was love at first sight!" This is nonsense. Taking this literally, it means one has not heard the person speak. It means they've not connected with the inner person the other represents. One knows nothing about their ethics and mores.

    What you are experiencing COULD be the commencement of what could grow to love. If that is the case, I wish you well. If that is not the case, I suggest you carefully reflect on what truly is - and adjust your sights and thoughts accordingly.
