Is this kind of dream (sleep) normal?

When I was a little kid, I kept having the same consistent dream of where I (at that age) was standing on top of a tall dilapidated building and looking out at the world. What I saw was the world burning, giant winged eyes going around and killing people, people burning alive, riots, missiles (maybe real missiles or meteors or something of the sort) falling out of the sky, etc. and I could hear everything going on too. Now I didn't feel anything when I saw this. I just kept looking out at the world burning and falling apart. This dream would usually last for 5-10 minutes. I've talked with a couple people about it, and a couple of them say that that's how the Christian bible depicts the end of the world. I've never read any religious text, nor am I am believer in any religion. Shortly after having that dream multiple times, I started to see brief moments in the future (sometimes a week or so, sometimes months or years or so) but they'd always be useless events, like me talking to someone, or watching tv or SOMETHING of the sort. I'm not sure what that "end of the world" dream is about, but it's the ONLY dream that has been vivid in my mind and can remember as if it happened yesterday. Now this is what intrigues me because I have a horrible memory and can't really remember much at all.

So... Is it normal to have that kind of dream and it be the only dream I've ever remembered having in my 20 years of living? And please give your thoughts about that kind of dream and if you've had similar occurrences happen to you.

Thank you for reading this. And please... no troll comments or stuff about claiming what I've said as fake/bullshit and that I'm craving attention. This is all real. If you don't believe me, then just don't comment.

these types of dreams are supposed to indicate a big change in your life at the time of dreaming.. make any sense?

    • Kinda like closing a door on the past and going forward towards the future? I don't really recall any big changes happening at the time. I know I battled with clinical depression and suicide in elementary school... but the dreams were happening long before I had simply given up on suicide (due to it making me even more depressed and trying even harder and becoming a vicious cycle). I wouldn't doubt something big happened around that time and I just don't recall it. Tragedies tend to stick with me more than anything good... so if I did forget what happened, if something big did happen, it'd probably be a good change and I just don't really remember it.

Dreams are just dreams just your subconscious burping up random stuff so... it means nothing. You probly just remember it becos it was vivid.

    • But to have the same exact dream repeatedly for months at a time? I'm pretty sure something's up with that.

        • Even though I'm not religious and don't believe in any of that?

            Exactly. Ironic isn't it?

            • Very ironic. What really confuses me is shortly after having that dream I started to have the "visions". I know people tend to claim it's BS to see the future, but I know that some people's brains are just wired a certain way that allows them to predict the future, especially when things aren't chaotic. Maybe I was simply seeing what the end would be like, regardless of whether or not I'm around when it happens, or in one the many different futures where I am around when it happens?

And naturally, I'm just speaking about this theoretically due to the nature of dreams and such. The visions are real though. But I'm not really thinking that I truly "saw the end of the world". It's probably just something like what Jujudog said.
