Is this just something all guys say?

Almost every guy from my past-not boyfriends, just old school friends and the like-that I have friended on Facebook has said they used to have a crush on me. A few of them, it was no surprise but with most it came as a complete surprise. These are people that I haven't seen in almost 20 years for some, others around 10 years. I am married, my FB says so and there's pics of me with my man and our kids so it's obvious I'm attached. A few live right near me and some are at least about 3 hrs away, some ever further....so it's not like it would be some kind of an easy hook-up (if that's what they're thinking...I don't know)...and all of them said they had this crush on me within the first 2 messages or chats!!

OK, I'm pretty good looking and I get hit on a lot but for the most part I've only heard this crush-on-you story on FB or myspace. Only maybe 2 times have I heard it in "real life".

So....do guys just do this to hopefully get into a girls pants somehow or is it actually true.....or maybe a combination of both? Does this happen to everyone?? Guys(!!), what's up?

If a guy says he has a crush on you, he wants you in bed. Infact, prehaps 8/10 times, whenever a guy does something nice NEAR you, he wants to get into you.

I guess a combination of both truth and trying their luck. Plus, it's much easier to say something like this in an email than face-to-face.

Of the twenty or so female friends from school that I lost touch with and who reconnected with me on Facebook, I did tell one of them that I had a crush on her when we were 13 (because it was true). She obviously took this as me trying my luck because her response was overtly sexual and she tried to arrange a hook-up. Flirting is nice, but that overeagerness to jump into bed was such a turn-off that I quickly disentangled myself. It did leave me thinking that plenty of people must use Facebook in this way, though. Perhaps the same is true for the guys who've contacted you.
