Is this going to be as hard as i think it is?

Here it is,
I've been going out with this amazing girl for 5 months now, she really means everything to me, she's kind, loving, passionate and very attractive, also, she's about a year and a half older than me. But I'm in the Royal Navy, and I've been based in HMS Caledonia for the past 6 months or so, which meant I could return home frequently, so we could see each other, but now I've found out that I'm going to be going away for 3 months or so, then I'll be back for a couple of weeks, and I'll be away again.
Now comes my problem, I'm not too sure what to do, my dad was in the Navy too when he met my mum, and they've been going out since they were the same age as us and this year they're married 25 years, I'm just not sure what to do, I've been told it's going to be very hard for the both of us, but I know i can stick it out, I'm worried about my girlfriend but, I'm so deeply in love with her, and I do genuinely believe she's the only one for me, but I don't want to put her through all this, even though she's insisted on waiting for me.
What should I do?

Military based romances are the sexiest and most inspiring. Keep the flame alive, I'm sure she's got a candle lit for you bud.

Been there bud and done it but in the Army.

Just keep constant contact, ring everyday if possible, write letters, send email, send gifts and she will still feel connected.

You'll both look forward to seeing each other more than normal couples. I think it actually makes relationships stronger.

Keep in contact as much as you can whie you are away. Arrange for flowers to be sent to her while you are gone. Give her one of your shirts to sleep with at night, spray your cologne or body spray on it. Anything to help her to connect to you while seperated. Send her a real cheesey love letter in the mail. Girls love to get real mail instead of just email. Its going to be hard for the both of you. I wish you the best of luck!
