Is this dream normal? what does it mean?

I dreamed I was in a Pet Store. I usually don't like those places, because animals are trapped and they suffer.
It was full of cages with cute little dogs, and even a cat. But that cat wasn't like, pretty enough or something, so I looked upstairs and there they were: sooo much beautiful cats with big cute eyes and everything. So I went after them. In my dream I liked one of them a lot, and in my dream I had permission from my mom to buy it, but I started having doubts, like, what If I can't maintain it? What if my dad doesn't like it? and so on. Then I woke up. I really wanted to take that cat homeee.

    Perhaps you're realizing how shallow/superficial the process of acquiring animals is. It's all based on how they look.

    The reason you saw a non pretty cat first was to show contrast between a decision made off of circumstance and a decision made off of what looks appealing to you.

    Even though you knew your parents had the means to pay for and Feed the cat, so it wasn't that your scared of commitment.

    Maybe you picked a pretty cat because you feel like you need to make the decision that your dad will like.

    More details would help, but you're right to think that your subconscious is trying to tell you something. People don't often remember dreams super well linearly unless the plot has a meaning

    What's the use of interpreting the meaning of our dreams ? Nobody can tell what's the exact meaning of it. I think you just really want to have a cat. That's all I know. Ask your parents if you can get one.
