Is this a normal sore throat?

I had a runny nose and I would get congestion, I thought it was just allergies and I didn't take medicine the first time this started. The second day it continues but then it came along with a swelling feeling in my throat. My throat felt like it was closing. I have no coughing or mucus. Everytime I swallow, breath or yawn it feels a little bit itchy in one spot and then it feels like I have to vomit along with a nauseous feeling. I took medicine for Nasal + Sinus congestion before I went to bed then I took allergy medicine to stop the runny nose because I couldn't take it anymore. The third day My allergy symptoms went away but my throat symptoms stayed. I looked up strep throat and I think it might be that but I don't have a fever or body aches. When I took my temperture it was 99.4. Does that count? It's only been 3 days going on 4. I don't want to go to the doctors unless I know that I have strep throat instead of a sore throat. Oh and I also tried home remedies for my throat and it works for a little bit but after a while it feels the same. Oh and another thing I dont have tonsils. This is real bothering me because I cant sleep. I always feel like I'm going to vomit. Thanks for reading and PLEASE help if you can because I don't want this to get serious.
