Is this a good idea for pest control business?

Recently I have been growing garden spiders on my porch for the last year. I have been feeding them large bugs to see how big I can get them and place the biggest ones together so they breed. I also get them stoned so they will eat more. So far I got some pretty fucking big ones. I plan to breed them and sell them as natural pest control. I have considered doing this with mantids and garder snakes as well although both those leave the area while garden spiders stay in the same 3 feet their whole lives. None of these guys are harmful to humans or pets and they are an excellent source of pest control, unlike the poisons most food companies use. I think this idea could replace poison pest control and I will be president.

It's a great idea! 9

Never, in my life have I heard a stranger begining to a sentence.

As to your idea, I know they might be harmless but people don't want snakes all around their property. If you try to sell the idea to someone who isn't a lunatic you will get shot down. You are also quite strange as you grow spiders, reason be damned.

Why proud? You didn't accomplish anything.

          • Everytime you don't do something you must do something else, you thusly accomplish whatever you did.

    • I'm also growing frogs in a big tank out there. One recently died and I just put it in one of the cobwebs to see if they will eat the dead frog.

Oh, the idea practically sells itself!

"Hey, let me sell you my home grown spiders and release them into your home. They're stoned too for extra effectiveness."

Using living creatures for pest control isn't a new idea, you can buy ladybugs to control aphids for instance. But uh... stoned spiders? Really?

Its not a bad idea. Though, you'll have to keep in mind that many people have Arachnidphobia and some might be too frightened to use them or might inadvertently kill them. But if they work for them, those people will have to shell out more money to buy replacements. On the side, secretly of course, if you want to, you could plan to use them for world domination. You''l be the Spider Tamer!

    • I would imagine if someone is scared of them they wouldn't have bought them in the first place. I do like your world domination idea though. Its almost as good as my idea to invent a time machine to go back in time to create life so I can become a god. Most my time machines so far haven't worked good enough.

I am getting the tingly sense of a Evil Legion (IIN version) in the works.

        *Evil laughter*

Not a bad idea, though. But... how about a space craft that you could fly to a uninhabited planet so, that you could created new life on it and rule as its supreme ruler. Then, you could launch an attack on Earth.

When's the last time you walked into a spider web? I don't like it at all, even if the spider is harmless.
Then again I live on a boat and don't have too many garden pests, or any insects of any kind, except the occasional skeeter.
