Is this a good idea?

I have had a good idea, but it may actually be a terrible idea. I have a girl in some of my classes, and I wanted to get her number by the end of the school year, as we only have 3 days left. She loves sweet things, so I was going to bring a pack of cookies to school and if she asked for one, I would get her to sign my yearbook. I would then say, "you forgot something," and if she asked what, I would say, "your number." I would then offer a cookie for it, and maybe get it?

I'd guess you have a lot more luck just being honest and asking. At least you'd know exactly where you stand without all the silly bs.

What's so hard about saying something like: I hope we can stay in touch after school ends, can we swap phone numbers?

You're going to feel crappy if you go to all that trouble with the cookies and she takes them but blanks you on the phone number: keep it low key even if that's not how you feel

Yes on the cookies, and the yearbook, but no on the slick moves. Just ask her for her number.
