Well that's creepy.
I was gonna make a thread just like this.
Anyway. Loki Laufeyson. I can't say I relate to his subtlety nor his need to create mischief, but all the same I feel some sense of commonality with Loki hence why he's been my profile pic for so long.
Certain books I read or television shows I watch, I feel an instant connection to one of the characters...as if the story was about me, so I'd say it's normal to relate to a fictional character!
Loki, in Norse mythology, I guess. Although I can't see me doing the wild thing with a stallion and giving birth to an eight-legged foal. But hey, who knows?
Severin (Venus in Furs)
K. , Jozef K. (Kafka´s novels)
Hanťa (B. Hrabal - Too Loud a Solitude)
My Dovahkin is very similar to me in character... oh wait... I created his personality.
Yes Holden from Catcher in the Rye, that is the whole Reason I killed John Lennon. -MDC
Mona from Pretty Little Liars. I fucking hate Hanna, Emily, Aria & Spencer. Every episode pisses me off & honestly makes me want to cry, it reminds me of bitches just like them who mistreated me in the past yet I can't stop watching it! TEAM JENNA, MONA & A! KILL THOSE BITCHES! 1 down 4 to go!
Marla Singer from Fight Club. I didn't even realize it at first until I was describing her to someone and I realized that I basically described myself. I don't lose my temper as easily as she does, I don't smoke and I'm still a virgin, so obviously I'm not *exactly* like her. But I'm a broken, pathetic and vulnerable person who at one point had a death wish and tried to commit suicide. I also take Xanax and use large dildos, so I guess I have that in common with her too.
Fictional characters are usually people the average joe wants to relate to. That explains why there are so many guys out there who think they're Barney Stinson.
I would like to say I'm similar to Gérard Depardieu's portrayal of Cyrano de Bergerac. I don't have the nose and my wit doesn't reach his dizzying heights. But I'm a fighter, a fencer, and I cover up my insecurities with a sharp streak of masochistic bravado.
Well, I have been told by a user about a year ago t hat I remind them from a character from catcher in the rye. I've never read it, though.
