Is there any other option for men to prevent reproduction?

Apart from condoms...which other method could men use to prevent having kids.. I believ women have things like injections, pills, and other devices. I know about the withdrawal method but that would be like taking chances.. Are there any injections or pills for men in this case???? And is it normal to wish I could give up all my kids for adoption since I think they came too early and unplanned??

I'm not sure why people are getting at you for giving a perfectly reasonable answer.

In what world do you consider 7+ thumbs up, derogatory?

A world where seven creatures have yet to evolve thumbs.

Well, the average young man would not be able to get a doctor to give him a vasectomy. This option is really only open to older men or men who already have several children, or have some kind of horrible disease. It's the same policy with female sterilization.

That's the most ridiculous thing I've ever heard. There are no age requirements for a Vasectomy. Where in the world do you get your information, comic books?

It's called ethics, you moron. While technically anyone over 18 can ask for sterilization, it's not required that the doctor oblige. Permanent birth control (sterilization) is not a standard first course of action for the young/childless. Performing sterilizations on anyone is taken quite seriously.

Wow. I don't know where you live, but it's not in any real world. What the fuck is ethical about forcing someone else to live by YOUR ethics?
It's not a doctor's place to dictate morals for his patients and even the right to life assholes don't even give a crap if some 18 year old decides he wants to fuck worry free. It's nobody's business what some male chooses to do about his reproductive status, anymore than it is for a female. I'm all for sterilizing you, though.

Male birth control is still in testing. From what I understand, it's a procedure that renders the little sperm as damaged. Apparently it is reversible. But still in testing.

The Neem plant is an 100% effective and nature contraceptive. I know that it is used on women, but I am yet to hear of it being used on men...

There's also something called a "Galactic Cap". It's a condom cap that adheres to the tip of the penis, allowing for bare sensations.

  • Women have far more means of birth control than men, sadly. I think there needs to be more methods made for men. All you really have is vasectomy or condoms, perhaps an injection although I am not too sure.

It's most likely profit-driven. Drugs need to be profitable enough to justify creating and providing them. Being that there is a plethora of options already and balancing that with projected desire and actual use of male birth control, it's most likely not sensible profit-wise. Fucked up, sure. But when it's about the profits, don't expect equality.

To add to that, it's pretty easy, low cost and low-risk to manipulate female hormones to prevent pregnancy. It's far more difficult and much higher risk and with much worse side effects to fuck with male hormones. If a drug reduces male fertility it also (usually) significantly reduces sex drive...going back to profitability. Females are more accepting of drugs that reduce sex drive for the pregnancy prevention benefits because pregnancy happens in their bodies. Now we're back to profits again....

Not really. Abstinence, vasectomy, condoms and withdraws are about it. Sure would be nice if they could bring something like this to market soon though. Like another comment said there have been some experiential drugs, but I don't know how far they've ever got with that.

  • Methods that are less harmful physicaly i meant. Castration, vasectomy and sterilization have tremendous side effects on the human body as compared to female family planning methods.
