Read a comment where someone said they regretted never talking to another user who left is it normal and never came back. Made me sad I wanted to give them a hug so now I wanna know how many others are like that and maybe push them out the comfort zones
So is there a user you would like to chat up? Not talking crushes but i guess thats can be included too. You know like someone you wanna get to know better but havnt cause of whatever reason.

I don't see it would be awkward or how someone could not like someone via internet. It's not like you get to see them in person and know them personally. I would love to get to know Koda ( he seems very knowledgeable) but sadly both of us don't have IIN Gold :(

There are four users users on here that I do message with(three using the messaging feature on this site and one on Gmail) and I'm really happy that I got to know them. :)

There are a few users that I can think of that I'd like to get to know, but I'd rather not say who they are. Maybe when I'm feeling braver, I'll make that extra effort to try to get to know them.

  I've realised that the best way to do it is just to...do it. I've only regretted reaching out to a few IINers, and I've always worked that out well before it got to the stage of exchanging personal info.
  
  Gold helps, obviously :P (much as I hate to advocate giving your money to Udi so he can piss on your face as thanks...) But for non-golders, it's always possible to make an email account to put on your profile (I say make rather than put your real one, because then you can screen out the stalkerish or rapey types. I'm just not capable of carrying on an online conversation; I type way too slowly.
Even on the boating forums with people I have a lot in common, I really can't keep up. The old dogs and new tricks thing.

  Oh gypsysailor, I was going to name you as someone I'd like to get to know better! Not romantically, you've made it clear on here that you have a wonderful marriage (lucky you!) but intellectually: even though we've disagreed often I like the way your mind works and you're one of the few who seems to be in my age group and to have had and are having an unusual interesting life, as have I.
  
  Oh sob sob it's never to be, there's a basic incompatability .... I'm an incredibly fast typist, so fast sometimes computer screens can't keep with me, maybe because I learnt on a manual typewriter as a child ........ which means I'm having a meltdown trying to learn how to operate my new touch phone and laptop ....
  
  Remember that book "Future Shock"? Do any other older people on here feel they're in that state far too often these days?

    Talk about total incompatibility, often my computer goes to sleep between long words. Oops, wake up you silly machine.
    The only class I regret dropping in high school, when I went on one of my adventures, is typing. Just never got back to it.

      Well my dreams are totally dashed now ....... still, not the first time, I'll cope.
      
      What really bugs me is that fast typing is a skill which has been very useful to me for .... do I want to type this? oh why not ...... more than 50 years and now the only place I can exercise is it on this desktop: on the laptop and even more so on my new infuriating touch phone, I'm like a child with clumsy fat fingers and no coordination whatsoever.
      
      When I say useful, I mean both in my personal life as I'm also a fast thinker and talker and on a decent keyboard my fingers can keep up and during my years as a legal secretary and then law clerk I was always the fastest around in any office. Politically, I could produce inflammatory leaflets and flyers faster than anyone else in any collective I ever belonged to. I can still do fast and pointed letters to newspaper editors: in fact, I'm the leading letter in today's state newspaper, which was a great thing to wake up to early this morning.

Well, last night I went into that member chat place and I spoke to Aliceee93 about cows and stuff. She seems like one of those people you can just link in and talk to.

I like interesting people with a different way of thinking. There are some people on here who are like that.

I think that RawSodium, Shackleford, iEatZombies, Avant Garde and NeuroNeptunian are like that.

The rest of the people on here I pretty much don't know or haven't noticed because they probably dont comment a lot
