What is the difference between someone who enables and protects everyone, vs someone who only protects one and allows that person to get away with murder since they are superior.

    clearly the difference is how many people you enable. one, or everyone. Pretty simple math there. How is this complicated?

    Well one cares about the whole community, the other only cares about one person at the expense of the community.
    Maybe one is a prosecutor and one is a defence lawyer?

    In what terms? Obviously there is a difference, because you describe two different situations. But I'm guessing that isn't what you mean.
