Is there a comment restriction in this website?

For a while now, I've had a problem with commenting. It seems that if I comment on something, sometimes it doesn't go through. I'll retype it, resubmit and still, it doesn't go through.

This is really confusing because it really seems to be random half of the time. I'll just login, respond to a post and then it doesn't go through. I'll refresh 10 times, nothing. I'll retype it and nothing. So I'll move onto another question and sometimes it lets me post a reply but other times I can't post anything at all for a while so I have to log-out and wait until the next day.

Anyone else have this issue?

    There is a new karma system that makes me glad I am not a new user as I think you have the ability to comment once or twice a day.

    Depending on how many thumbs up and downs you get also impact your ability to comment, which I think is just ridiculous because then it makes people either post things others will agree with or post something you believe and get thumbed down for it and make you less able to vote.

    Considering this site is becoming as sensitive as Tumblr, I think that makes it 10X worse.

    Sometimes comments do not go through or it freezes and you have to try again. I think its either a glitch or you need to clear your cookies.

    this has happened to me about 5 times ever. but I can never figure out if the post really got lost, or was it a case of being quickly deleted or me just forgetting to press the post button
