Is the pandemic over?

It seems that people in the US believe the pandemic is over, (or that there never really was an issue to begin with) while a lot of other countries are still fighting this (man made) virus.

Do you believe covid is no longer a threat in your respective country?

I'm just going to clear this up now. The virus is not man-made. This is the story.

An earlier incarnation of SARS-CoV-2 appears to have specialized in targeting the order Chiroptera, bats; the overall molecular structure of SARS-CoV-2 is distinct from the other known coronaviruses in that it strongly resembles a class of Chiroptera-hosted viruses that are, pivotally, innocuous regarding humans.

The virus then infected an intermediate animal, probably a pangolin, wherein said virus developed its unique receptor-binding domain; pangolins have been found to host similarly mutated coronaviruses endowed with this feature. The aforementioned receptor-binding domain is the spike protein that protrudes from the surface of the virus.

_This_ incarnation of the virus then entered the human body wherein it underwent its most recent mutation or series thereof; the receptor-binding domain now attaches to a receptor on human respiratory cells called ACE2 (angiotensin-converting enzyme 2) in such a _lock-and-key_ manner that it's evidently and demonstrably beyond the scope of even state of the art genetic engineering and has _only_ been seen as a result of natural selection.

From _here_ we compared SARS-CoV-2 with the similar SARS-CoV to spot the specific genetic variations and discovered something rather peculiar and _equally_ pivotal to my conclusions: Even if someone magically had a hunch as to which letters to change, which they _wouldn't_ have, the changes don't work in simulation software the way they do in reality. I repeat, by some chance, THEY DON'T WORK. The very state of the art produces erroneous results. The results erroneously indicate it WOULDN'T be very effective. The SARS-CoV-2 concept would have been scrapped early on.

As sufficiently articulating to the general population that this is all but an incontrovertibility in the eyes of experts is all but inexecutable, conspiracy theorists will inevitably continue. Unfortunately, without some prior knowledge of a few of the aforementioned areas people can't see the virus being man-made is not just unlikely but a virtual impossibility. The best I can do is assure that one would never have started with an innocuous base either way; doing so is analogous to attempting to create a level surface using a waterbed as a starting point. It's a nonsensical base to begin with if one _wanted_ to create a virus like this. SARS-CoV-2 is natural selection's bandage-like attempt at a human-hosted virus (which was already previously bandaged) in every respect versus an intelligently designed virus with a specific purpose in mind.

Humans have and will create worse. This is just nature. I hope this settles things, and if it doesn't, you and I both know you didn't understand a word I just said. Please just listen to scientists.

If you need your car fixed and aren't mechanically inclined, do you trust a mechanic or a conspiracy theorist?

I dont actually think covid was man made. Im just playing into those who do.

i dont trust the media at all as they push their own agenda, there was a time when they gave the facts and you decided, now they tell you what to believe the virus is real, it was played up way too much, the hype was and is wrong

The only time I worry about it anymore is if I have to be around old people or go to a hospital I make sure I wear a mask and do all the stuff. I'm not too worried about getting it my sister and wife both had it they were fine.

My wife had to go to the ER about 2 weeks ago and the ER was pretty empty. I asked a nurse if there's a lot of covid patients she said there's only about 4 there at the moment. Thats pretty good id say because I went to the same hospital a year ago and it was packed full if covid patients

No its not yet over. There is still about half of the American population to vaccinate...

Most of the rest of the world is behind the US on vaccination rate - and 3rd world countries may have almost no one vaccinated.

The "delta" variant appears to be deadlier than the original variant, and could spread rapidly among the unvaccinated.

Wisconsin study just released indicates that currently 95% of all Covid-19 fatalities are among the unvaccinated.

    https://abcnews.go.com/Health/wisconsin-95-covid-19-deaths-march-unvaccinated/story?id=78577785

Most of the other 5% are with people who were vaccinated and who have compromised or intentionally suppressed immune systems (the Vaccine does not work as well - and may not work at all for some people in those categories). Sorry I cannot post a link as I don't remember where I read that article. I read it wish much interest as my immune system is weaker than normal.
