Is someone text you everyday

Would you be annoyed if the same person text you everyday that you didn't know very well?

All they would send you is "Hi" and if you didn't answer back they would send it again 2 hours later. And/or send you several messages in a row with in a half an hour saying: "Hi", "What's up?", "How are you?" and then Hi again. If you do respond all they ask is what is up and only give you one worded answers. And so on and so forth...

I would be annoyed too. Actually, I think this has happened to me before but I'm no longer friends with that person. The friendship didn't end because of that. I don't know, I enjoy having conversations that are of substance but what I don't like are rapid fire empty ones. I'm not the busiest of people and due to this person's constant texting, I had to make mundane things sound very interesting and I didn't like having to do that.

It can be annoying. I just fake being the boringest (real word) guy alive until they eventually don't bother anymore. I feel kid of bad about it sometimes, but I can't talk to people constantly.

I had a friend who would do this, but in phonecalls. He'd call, say hi, then breathe heavily a while then cry. Nowadays, I wouldn't stand for that shit.

Had another friend who did similar a few years later, actually.

I think I've worked out why I fucking hate phonecalls :/

Sounds like a computerized bot without the spamming.

It doesn't happen to me as much as it used to, although I'm not as nice or as tolerant as I used to be. Years ago, I put up with someone doing this for about six months and finally went through one of my many mobile phone number changes.

      Don't blame you.

I need to have a talk with this boy or ignore him. I'm actually the one who made this topic.

      I have a life...

Wouldn't surprise me if he had a bit of a thing for you and was either shy or didn't have very good social skills. Although having said that, when I used to be shy around women, I never used to pester them.

I usually try to breach it into like, a more profound friendship?
But if it doesn't turn into better conversation after a week or a month or so I peace on that person because what the shit dude creepy and annoying

I've had this happen several times, over Facebook. I find it very annoying indeed. I don't care if it means I'm being anti-social, I don't like wasting my time with certain people. Especially the perverts. Ugh.

It's not anti-social it's just you are more independent than those other people who base life off of texting and facebook.
