Is razor burn down there a turnoff for guys?

I have very sensitive skin, so I have to be very careful shaving, but especially down there. I’ve found what works for most of the region, but there are still a couple parts that end up bumpy. I know I shouldn’t feel obligated to shave, and I don’t know just what this guy prefers yet, maybe he wouldn’t have minded hair. But regardless, let’s say the damage is done. Should this be something I bring up, because I know it’s not ideal to take of a girl’s panties and see tons of red bumps. Like, should I say something beforehand? Or would that make it awkward? Should I just mention I’m not comfortable just yet and simply leave it at that? I have no idea

Help us keep this site organized and clean. Thanks!

Honestly, I prefer a trim instead of irritated skin any day.

I would say something tbh, just so he doesn't think you've got an std. Alsom have you considered waxing? It looks a lot nicer and won't give you those razor burns.

I wouldn't say anything. If I notice that, I would realize what it is and not think much about it other than you just shaved down there. I have my eyes and tongue focused on more important things.

Get something like a mens beard trimmer, then use the attachments you can just do a really close trim. Just cut it really short. Thatcan help you avoid the razor burn. But if you want to continue to shave and not just trim, a really good mens shave creme like the Gillete for sensitive skin. I dont know if there is a womens shave creme like that or comparable. Also, if you continue to shave, do it either in the shower or bath after you have been in warm water for a bit, it will soften and will be easier to shave. Also, MAKE SURE TO USE QUALITY RAZOR AND BLADES. I use the Gillete with disposable blade cartridge.

  • Have my pussy waxed, much smoother with no bu.ps and lasts longer than shaving. Thinking of having electrolysis, however once a course has been done I believe that's it for life, if when you get older you want hair back then this is not for everyone.

I hope not. I find it impossible to get it smooth without any razor burn but so far, no guys I’ve been with have had any complaints.

I notice if I dont shave often it gets bad razor burn. But if I keep it shaved the skin adjusts and no longer does that. Another thing you can do is use a buzzer. Buzz most of it off and make it super short.

I have sensitive skin and I don’t shave. Waxing is a good option. Also I’ve never had anyone fuss over the muff. Do what makes you comfortable.

After I shave someones pubes I rub in a good quality body lotion. I don't shave round the anus or perineum I pluck there.
If they want an oral happy ending I try not to get any lotion on the clit or helmet as most of them taste awful!

Shaving over time causes hairs to grow coarse, no one wants to feel like sandpaper down there.
Anyway the plucking doesn't really hurt just tingles a bit, surprising how much cocks and pussies dribble while having it done!

"Shaving over time causes hairs to grow coarse" That's an urban legend. What actually happens is body hair gets courser as someone goes through puberty. Puberty is around the time people start shaving. So this leads to the myth that shaving more often makes hair courser or thicker or whatever. It's a classic case of people confusing correlation with causation.

I am now in my early seventies and my facial hair is now, after being shaved nearly every day since 14, is now like a wire brush and I get through razor blades (5 blade type) at a truly rapid (and expensive) rate.
So maybe I'm an oddball but MY hair gets coarser with prolonged shaving.
P.S. I wouldn't fancy that growth round my arsehole!

Your facial hair is just course because you're in your seventies, not because you shave.
