Holy shit have you seen the amount of care, detail, and effort you can put into putting together a team and battling?
EV/IV training, all the crazy shit you can do with breeding, shit like pokemon swarms, pokerus, etc?
If kids can figure all that shit out I have been totally underestimating them and I am so so sorry.
EVERYONE can enjoy it!
I put that it's made for everyone but it is geared towards kids. Adults can play whatever they want to though. That's the benefit of being an adult.
If you want to play it and you're not a kid, then just play it! You might not belong to the target audience of the game, but if you have fun playing it, then I really don't see the point in stopping.
Well given the simplistic style and the continues refusal to tie off the loose ends.(Thank you Pokemon) The fact that ash will always and forever be 10 and the bright vibrant colours which make this show so alluring I think we can assume this is a show made for children. It was also aired on most of the kid channel and pushed with toys and costumes and contests. However no problem with liking the show as an adult but I do find the Pokemon porn kind of weird. Now I do believe digimon was for older kids since it has a more complicated story line and was in fact a deeper series. Why it was more interesting but that kind of in depth story line is not something most children would care for or understand at the age Pokemon is pushed to. Part of why Pokemon was always so popular.
and im wondering...why does gary look diffrent than when he did earlier in the series(dark hair, tall,a complete douche bag)
than hes this.(blond, shorter, clumbsy, still a douche bag, high pitch voice, etc, etc)and they got rid of brock!>.< he was the greatest anime pervert to ever live...and will ash ever see misty, max, dawn, etc, etc.and what happened to his mother?more importantly...why does not a single pokemon trainer have a father? is pokemon a world of lesbians?oh and they got rid of nurse joy!
I think it was said at one point or implied ashes dad died. To my knowledge garys father was proffesor oak but I might be getting that wrong. They did get rid of brock but he comes back off and on every so often depending on the series. They replaced him at one point with tristen. His mother stays at home and once in awhile will see his matches. Misty left to go back to her gym. I forget how they sucefully got rid of dawn and max but if you watch I am sure it explains. I noticed they got rid of nurse joy and the officers jennys. I do not know why but it usually explains what happened to the characters unlike the lack of explanation for how the Pokemon world runs or exist. Since they do not teach any form of science, English, or math. They just explain how Pokemon act and about them. Which makes no sense at all. http://bulbapedia.bulbagarden.net/wiki/Ash_Ketchum For more information read this.
I've been playing Pokemon since it first came out in Guam in 1998.
Since then, it has gotten way more complicated and intricate, I still have some of this stuff just barely figured out.
If it's for kids, these are some brilliant fucking kids.
Certainly Not!!! Once you are a Pokemon trainer, you'll always be a Pokemon trainer.
Do know how much dedication and strategy it takes to successfully play that game? Compatibility of types, a large assortment of items, trying to complete your Pokedex and catching those legendaries!!!! This game is very time consuming! You know I've been playing dutifully playing those games since about 2006 and out of all the games I've played, I'm yet to complete the Pokedex! Ah!!!!
My only complaint is that in recent years both the theme songs and the newer species of Pokemon have been lacking. I feel like they are running out of ideas for designs. After the Ruby/Sapphire/Emerald games the Pokemon started to become ugly. The theme songs used to be kickass but then I remembering them going downhill shortly after the Ruby/Sapphire series.
The best games I've played from the series were: Pokemon Coliseum (NGC), Pokemon XD: Gale of Shadows (My only complaint is that there weren't many new places to travel to.) (NGC), Ruby and Emerald, Fire Red, Black and White, Pokemon Dungeon: Red Rescue Team and Explorers of Darkness and Pokemon Revolution is okay from what I've played so far...
The gameboy games are some of the best games I have ever played. Silver & gold ftw!
The people who say it's only a kid's game are those who don't know how to play it.
Pokemon is for everyone! :D
