Here in Asia people prefer pale skin and consider it very attractive. But l hate seeing young girls here having low self esteem just because they have dark skin and vice versa.

I was bullied for having pale skin as a child, and to this day people tell me (without me asking) that I look unhealthy, that I should wear fake tan or a darker foundation. One time I walked in to a room and a woman told me that I looked unhealthy because I was pale. Another time a guy said he didn't like white skin and I said I love my white skin and he responded "really?!" with a confused expression on his face. I love my pale skin and people don't like it when I say that. I'm not going to hate myself to make other people feel better about themselves. I love my pale skin!

Well-maintained pale skin has an almost angelic quality. Olive complexions look more natural.

Agreed. Although, I think that sexiness has more to do with curves, build, and skin texture rather than shade. If a girl has sexy curves, a toned physique (a sexy female style build, not male styled build obviously), and clear smooth looking skin, she will look hot and sexy whether her skin is pale white, light tanned, or dark tanned.

So what's wrong with that? I only date white women and it's not a racial issue, it's just what I prefer. And tanning is a huge no-no. It just skin damage, nothing more.

Pale skin is beautiful in my opinion. Whether they’re a man or woman it’s beautiful looking to me.

I don't know. I'm pale myself. People have gotten into arguments with me over whether or not I'm an actual Puerto Rican due to my skin. It's not just the light skinned Hispanics they've done this to. They've also argued with people who looked more black than Hispanic. I never really understood why.

There are always mixes too of course. Half black/ half Puerto Rican, half Puerto Rican/ half white, half black/ half white, half white/ half Chinese, half black/ half Chinese, half Puerto Rican/ half Chinese, etc. This is what is so different from like 50-70 years ago, all the half/half people were extremely rare back then. It was practically always all white, all black, all Chinese, all Puerto Rican, etc. Mixed couples having kids was so rare due to the extreme discrimination they would've gotten back then.

Thing is though, none of us are mixed. Our families just happened to be really dark or really pale. Our parents would be from a Hispanic country and speak the language, but we couldn't speak it since we were only taught English. To them if you don't look the part or speak it you're not Hispanic and aren't worth their time. Trying to tell them that Hispanic comes in all sorts of colors never seems to work.

Clear skin is the most important thing, whatever shade it is.

Personally I prefer darker skin (like olive dark) but I don't think pale skin is ugly.

I love pale skin, it is totally beautiful on women. A tan just looks cheap and used up to me.

Its not rhe skin tone its the whole of festures and characteristics of a person. Skin tone alone makes one neirher attractive or unatractive.

On chicks it is, but tanned white is ideal. On dudes pasty looks unhealthy and undesirable. With that being said; brown, black, and yellow are less desirable.

I love women with light or semi-light red sunburn as long as sunburn isn't so bad that it's peeling. But the light red sunburn looks alot hotter and sexier when it's all evenly spread out and without tan/burn lines showing the bra, bikini, or tank top that she was wearing. When I was on vacation in Mallorca, Tenerife, and Cancun, I found the tanned/sunburned girls with no lines sexier because that indicated that she was going topless.

I much prefer a healthy tan to actual red/burn. I do dig the topless no tan lines as well as tan lines. The skimpier the better! It's like God came down with his highlighter and declared, "these are the important parts."

    • That must be why tanning is a multi-billion dollar industry.

I personally would like to be light skinned, but pale skin has gone out of fashion somewhat, so saying everyone wants it is stupid.
