I have a 10 year old daughter that I haven't seen for over 6 years, my daughters mother and I divorced 8 years ago, I had contact with my daughter for about 2 years till her mother met someone and everything changed, I had to go different solicitors and every time the cost knocked me out, in between that I got married again and have a beautiful 4 year old daughter who is excited to meet her older sister. Long story short, I have paid child Maintence since the day I left however didn't have access to my child, November 2014 I bumped into my daughter and her mother bare in mind I haven't had any contact what so ever.
I asked her mother if I could say hello and she flew into a rage accusing me of why now? You couldn't be bothered before this and that. I was with my youngest daughter and left it at that, my family decided to help me with cost to go Solictor, few thousand pounds later I ended up in court this month and the magistrate delivered the verdict in my favour, so until May 15th I need to send cards letters photos to my daughter (indirect contact) after that May 15th I get to see my daughter

      When I will finally see my daughter in May, after 6 and a half years, the fact she might not want to see me.

        I think your projecting adult thoughts on a 10 year old but still it shouldn't be all that hard to see if shes looking forward to it or not. And afterll theres nothing you can do about it unless you think how much you stress is going to change anything.
