Is nomophobia normal?

Across the world, innovations are helping people keep their phones on for longer - a necessity in a world where more of us suffer from nomophobia, also known as "smartphone separation anxiety".
Research from the University of Missouri shows this affliction can increase our stress levels, and lead to serious psychological harm. Researchers say when separated "we experience a lessening of 'self' and a negative physiological state".

I dunno, I like having a cool phone. Internet, fancy camera, etc...

But I talk to my friends. If it's just something short, I use some chat program (Viber/ Whatsapp), but for real stuff I talk to my friends.

To me, a smartphone is a normal phone that can do a few extra features.
