Is my reaction to this normal?

I recently started reading Anne Frank's diary,I never read it in school and it's something I'd been meaning to read for a while without any real conviction but something peaked my interest again so I'm only just reading it now.
I think I've fallen in love with her, maybe it's not the right word as it suggests something romantic which it isn't but I can't think of another word to describe it, I relate to so many things she feels, the relationships with her family and her outlook on life
It feels almost invasive as her innermost thoughts and feelings are written down but it makes me feel like I know her, like I understand her and I see a lot of myself as well as what I want to be within her, she's flawed and she's human, kind and intelligent and remarkably observent beyond her years, I think I've fallen in love with her in a sense, iin? Did anyone else have a similar reaction

    Its normal to love Anne Frank, she was a very lovable person and her diary shows that.

    That's why the book is so famous. Lots of people in ww2 wrote diaries, but this one was the best one.

    It's called empathy, not love, and many people have felt it over the years. This is why it's such a good book; it gets the reader to feel as she did and to understand what she was going through.
    I wish all those hooked on comics on IIN could understand the difference, then they would see why comics are not considered literature, only simple entertainment.
