Liike most groups of 17-18 year old male friends, there is a lot of batner. I'm hench so i only get a small amount of banter, but Friend1 gets schoking banter about his family everyday of his life, and like a LAD, he laughs it off.

Now one day Friend2 had some banter directed at him about a girl he liked, we gave him banter for 1 day, and now he is off in a strop and is not talking to anyone.

When i texted him saying "Man up, Friend1 gets banter everyday of his life and you have had it for 1 day, if i really have offended you, i am sorry" he simply replied "It's different"

haven't heard from him in 2 days :S

    You sound really fucking thick if you can't understand what has gone wrong. The fact that you call it 'banter' proves that you don't really understand much about anything. 'hench' LMFAO

    You should ' man up' and educate yourself

    I couldn't vote on this one. On the surface, I do feel someone who dishes out banter at others' expenses should have a thick enough skin to take the returns--should even expect it. Otherwise, they strike me as a hypocrite. But I can understand that some topics might be off limits, and good friends ought to know this. I don't know your group's dynamics, though. Maybe give the guy his space to see if he wants to rejoin the group.

    Two things I've learned in 19 years of life are that (a) people are fickle, and (b) people will ultimately do whatever they want, if they can, so there's no point in trying to get someone to do something he/she doesn't really want to.

      Basically, she stood him up because she "Woke up late" so we were saying that she was fucking someone else.
