My girl friend is 30 something and has a 3 year old daughter. I'm not the child's biological father. My girlfriend is college educated and intelligent. She works less than part-time and makes less than 10 bucks an hour. Her kid goes to daycare while she works. She is really hot and she is cool to be with but the welfare thing makes me worried about her values. Is it normal to be college educated and on welfare by choice? Is it normal to think like this?

    Dump her ass. People who have the ability to work but choose not to and instead live off of charity are pathetic wastes. And it pisses me off that I get off my ass everyday and work to support those "lazy loafs".

    Education doesn't always equal a high salary, and thank God for that. People should be paid for what they do, not what they studied. Your girlfriend, by your admission, is hot, interesting, and takes care of her child. It's not a bad start. However, if her values contrast with yours, then maybe you have a sticking point.

    I hate people on welfare. I hate going to work and having money taken out of my checks to pay for their food and housing.

    Welfare should be a temporary thing. So long as she eventually plans to quit relying on it, I don't see a problem with it. It can really help get people back on track while they're in the process of finding more stability.. Otherwise, if she just plans on milking the system as long as possible, that's not cool. At all. Where does that check come from?? ME. All of us. Out of our pockets. I'm a strong advocate for financial assistance, but I'd rather see my tax dollars going to people who need it.
