Is my friend still a virgin?

My friend is unsure whether or not he's still a virgin. (Look, if it was me, I'd admit it.) To sum the story up, he and a girl were about to have sex, but he only managed to stick the tip in before she told him to stop because she wanted him to use a condom. He didn't have one, so they didn't finish whatever they started, and they never ended up doing anything in the future.

To this day my friend considers himself a virgin, but I consider him not. Since we disagree, we both want to know what he is "scientifically". He only stuck the tip in and nothing more. So there was contact, but he didn't go all the way in. What is he? Thanks for clearing this up.

He is a virgin 38
He is not a virgin 26
I'm not sure 13

Where is the option - "Who cares"

Why has losing one's virginity become a necessary objection?

To me, losing your virginity is when you and your partner have experienced the full act of mating. In more vulgar terms: if he didn't have an orgasm while inside her then he's still a virgin.
Argue with me if you will but I'm just stating what I feel is true.

What if they practice coitus interruptus?

Good point.....fine he has to have at least three good thrusts inside her before he loses his virginity officially.

    "Scientifically"?

Technically, I'd say he's crossed the line. It'd be easier and require less precise definitions, if it had been a case of no contact or full intercourse.
Instead of being a virgin, he is a person who has had "tip intercourse". I.e., instead of the label virgin, it would be more correct to use a description such as yours.

I see where your friend is coming from though, wanting it to have it happen properly before peeling the label off.

Unless it's a pin, your penis needs to be in far enough that it would've been near the hymen.

    He's a virgin because he hasn't actually fucked a girl / guy.

The label isn't exactly relevant though.

I'm with dinz on this one.
If this dip shit really cares, tell him to find a dictionary and read the definition. It's pretty cut and dry.
