Is my friend normal?

She's starting to get quieter and less talkative some days, and bitchy and loud on others. I don't know why she's acting weird around us. We have a very small group of friends, and no arguments have happened between any of us.

It's starting to get to me, because I'm starting to dislike her for it all, but I don't think it shows.

Is she normal the way she's acting? Am I normal the way I'm reacting?

Is she sleeping ok? on contraceptives? have food allergies? getting exercise? family problems?

You care enough to ask for advice. She may not know what is causing her emotions to go so wild. Dig at it a bit.

She could be bipolar or something else. Instead of randomly disliking her, why don't you be a "friend" and see what's wrong by asking her?!

This really isn't very descriptive. Ask her what's wrong, then if your still confused you can come back on here with the details.

i would try to talk to her if i valued her friendship. if she is not willing then you should probably distance yourself from her. even if you guys have mutual friends and have to be around each other, just don't let her affect you emotionally and don't do her any favors. call her out honestly on her bullshit in front of every one if you think she is out of line. how long have you known her? definitely try talking about it first though. i had a friend that started acting like that half the time. then it was all the time, and when i would get fed up and she wouldn't see me for a week or so, she would call me or run into me and act really sweet for a couple of days, and then turn into a bitch again. not a healthy cycle. so ditch her if it comes to that.

not that it's not normal, but it doesn't sound like a good thing. aside from being bipolar, there could be other reasons for behavior like that. maybe something happened to her that's causing her mental distress, or maybe she's doing drugs.
you should talk to her if it really bothers you.
