For years I liked my East Indian male professor. A year after I graduated, we started having dinner together once a week and one time he asked if I was single. After that we flirted a lot for awhile before I found out for certain that his feelings for me were mutual. I was beyond ecstatic to say the least--until he informed me that we couldn't date because he would receive racist flack from his Professor colleagues at the university he works--I'm Caucasian. We are in a large metropolitan Canadian city.

      That was my second choice, to be his f*ck buddy, but after heavily making out with him one time he called me up a few days later and said he was having second thoughts. He was concerned that I'd get into an argument with him and tell his colleagues about the "affair."

        It might just be he does not want to get fired and made up an excuse. He might have taken you to a place he know no one would recognize him at. Teachers/professor no matter the age of the students can get fired for this sort of affair. It might not be anything to do with race. He is just probobly looking for an excuse since he is probobly keeping you a secret. Just thought of a very bad excuse.
