Do you believe that a man who has a girlfriend who is unwilling to satisfy him at the current time who decides to choke his chicken because he is frustrated is in fact cheating on his spouse due to the fact he is looking at other women and picturing himself doing it with them?

Women tend to find emotional cheating far more significant than physical cheating, and for men vice versa. To me (a male), the idea that we need to siphon our thoughts into one person at all times is unrealistic and ridiculous. In fact, it may lead to problems if anyone expects this from their partner. Being in a relationship does not and can not negate attraction you might have to other people, it's just sort of a contract that you won't DO something with them.
So I guess what divides people is what "doing something" means (emotionally vs. physically), but either way, masturbation isn't comparable to flirting with someone or hooking up with them, because it doesn't actually involve "them".

I only consider masturbation to be "cheating" if you are masturbating WITH someone besides your partner.

It's only cheating if you humped something, like a pillow. If you did hump a pillow, or rolled up blanket, you and your pillow should confront your gf and admit what you did. If she is kind, she might forgive you, and help you raise your little baby pillows.

I've always considered emotional cheating the more serious of the two, so if the guy or girl is only doing it so he/she is no longer frustrated, then I don't see a problem with what they're doing. It could lead to something dangerous though!
