Is masochism normal?

Okay...this has being happening a while now. I have thoughts about being beaten or suffering painful injuries (such as being punched, knifed, etc.) I'm the one usually doing these acts or another person. Sometimes it is sexual; hence masochism. I also find black eyes (like if someone got punched in the eye area) attractive. Is this normal?
