Is living together a failure...just curious ...answer me.

I know people (especially having western culture) prefer a dating or living together just before a serious relationship ...still it doesn't work well (just my assumption)..go through many other relationships and affairs..

I like to relate this circumstance with trying a demo version of a software...don't you think so ?!( I DO...)

Help us keep this site organized and clean. Thanks!

Sometimes it's a failure, and sometimes it isn't a failure. Just like anything else it depends on the people involved, and the amount of effort put forth, not to mention whether, or not the two people involved are actually compatible with each other. The best part about when living together doesn't work out is that there are no legal fees to pay!

That's why I mentioned the "demo" thing...

Personally, I like my own company. The baggage we carry in our heads is the result of listening too much on advice of others.

My cat and I never argue.

It's not always a failure if you're smart about who you're choosing to live with. Always get to know the person well enough before moving in.

My suggestion for a demo would be to move in with a close friend, because it's essentially the same thing but without the sex/romance. It doesn't matter if this friend is male or female; just try sharing a space together for a while. All the ups, downs, compromises, and arguments over chores are just a few things you'll experience after the high of moving in together wears off. Then it's getting use to the other person's habits and presence that'll come next before you simply learn to accept one another and coexist.

  • I think living together is a logical step prior to getting married. It's the best way to find out if you're compatible with someone. Can you imagine being legally bound to a person, and only then discovering you can't stand being in the same room with them? Yeesh.
