Is it wrong to date your second cousin?

I have known her for many years now. Me and her have always connected well together but in a way more than cousins. Even before her mom and my uncle got married we liked each other. Ever since then, since we got older and older we have grew to like each other even more. She has even admitted to me that she had considered us dating several times. I think the only thing holding us back from being happy and dating is the unforturnate fact that now we are cousins. But we arent even blood, what so ever. Were second cousins. So all i am is asking is, should we finally just give into our feelings and date and have a great relationship ? Or should we both try our best to move on from the feelings and stay strictly cousins ?

    I'm not clear: how does your uncle marrying her mom make you two 2nd cousins? Sounds like it is really just an informality within the family.

    Maybe you could just talk to unc and mom about your plans to date so they can start putting things differently. In any event, their reaction will give you more information.

    in a normal situation yes, but in this i'd say no from the sole fact that you aren't blood related

    You can never be too closely related in my opinion. Others might disagree but I'm dating my 1st cousin right now and it's working out fine. I predict we'll be engaged no later than february. So more power to you!

    Dude your not blood I dated a second cousin for about 5 months it works out ares didn't so much but just because we were 18 and I went to collage
