Is it wrong that i only want to adopt white children?

I find it funny to here young people talk about adoption as if it was as easy as buying a chocolate bar.

I could understand it if it were because of concerns about other kids / parents questioning the adopted child's parentage on the basis of appearance and treating them differently for it.

But because you want to 'help out your race before others?' Adopting a child shouldn't be some act of racial charity. A non-white foster kid is as much in need of a stable and loving family unit as a white one. If you picked an asian kid, it wouldn't somehow benefit all asian people, just as you picking a white kid doesn't somehow benefit all white people. So dumb.

I'm not going to do the knee jerk thing and beat you up for being racist. I feel I have no right to tell any parent how they should raise their kids. But before you rush out and adopt a kid, open your eyes and consider this:

You'll not know for sure if the child is 'pure' white race when you adopt. How would you cope if you found out later in life that the biological father of the kid was of mixed race and had raped the child's biological mother? Or that the kid was the product of consensual incest between brother and sister or father and daughter?

Then there's the kid's point of view to consider:

What if, as an adopted child, you were raised by a Muslim family who hate Jews, and then at the age of 18 you found out your biological parents were Jewish. Or if your biological parents were Japanese and you were raised by a Chinese family who hate that race. Or a Protestant family who hate Catholics and so on...

Do not feel racist, and don't let others on here make you feel racist. What is racist is people insisting that you HAVE to adopt races other than your own. Who you adopt is your choice, and like it or not, you would have more in common culturally with your own race. That is not to say that you couldn't provide a loving home to any race, but that you need to go with what you would be comfortable raising.

Why do you believe that only people of your race are human enough to deserve safety and compassion?

I see where your coming from but... To the thick of it... "race" is based upon skin color modernly correct? Well... If you think about it. Its the pigment in the skin that makes black people black and white people white. Due to Black people originally being in a rather hot climate I believe there bodies have adapted to it by generating more pigment... and to the thick of it... In reality... Everybody is the same race...

I hope my science is correct... Its been to long since I spoke hard legit science.
