I have a mum who has let me down all my life she loves money more then me and it makes me feel useless and unwanted she has given me up to my grandparents and doesn't give a toss about me, when ever I see her she is always wanting money for drugs, e.g which I get really worried about her and, I have even had counciling because she made me upset and I haven't seen her for a month now! 11/9/2015 is when I write this

    It's not money your mum loves, it's drugs. She is a drug addict. Your feelings are very normal darling. I know it's hard but try and understand addiction and maybe then you can start to heal.

    Honestly, I don't think you really hate her. I think you hate what she's become as a result of her drug addiction.

    I think it's completely acceptable if you should choose to be estranged from your mother. You have the right to love and protect yourself. You can love and pray for your mother from afar, dear. The reason I don't think you truly hate her is that you worry about her. People don't generally worry about those they hate.

    If I were you I would continue with your therapy and check out these two websites.

    Drugs can change people's brains so they only care about more drugs. Doesn't excuse her, but one day hopefully she will snap out of that trance and realise her mistakes.
