Is it wrong for people to want a specific gender of baby?

I was with you up until you said get an abortion until the preferred gender is reached. It's not wrong to want a preference, however, I believe getting an abortion because the child is not what you want is going a bit too far.

Too many people want sons and a great deal of them will never find a gf.

Not wrong for for someone to want a specific gender but to abort until said gender hits is weird. As a guy I want a boy first and anything after fuck it but I want a boy

I think getting an abortion would be going too far, at least for me personally, but so long as you love and care for your child equally regardless of his/her sex I don't think having a preference is necessarily wrong.

I don't see how any person who is Pro choice wouldn't be okay with aborting babies to get the right gender. It would make them hypocrites otherwise.

Discriminating against babies on the basis of sex didn't work too well for China. They liked throwing the baby girls away, and ended up with a population of males that have no hope of ever having a mate available.

That's what they do in china. You have a girl that can't leave and work and make money, you feed her ground up glass and kill her. It's so sad.

Well in a moral sense yes, but who gives a fuck.

"because it's a boy" is just as valid a reason to abort as "I'm too stressed out to have another kid"

Unfortunately the stupid FDA outlawed more reasonable methods, so abortion is about the only choice in this country.
